Topçular Endüstriyel has successfully completed its inaugural lease certificate (sukuk) issuance as part of its strategy to diversify funding sources. The issuance, with a nominal value of TRY 150 million and a 177-day maturity, was carried out through DK Asset Leasing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dünya Katılım Bankası. Structured under a management agreement, the sukuk utilized diesel generator sets, CNC machines, lathes, and band saws held in Topçular Endüstriyel’s inventory as the underlying assets, in full compliance with the principles of Islamic finance.
Commenting on the successful issuance, Başar Demircan, General Manager of Topçular Endüstriyel, stated that the company will continue to make effective use of alternative financing instruments in the coming period.
"We are delighted to have successfully completed our first sukuk issuance. The strong interest shown by investors reflects their confidence in our company's long-term growth vision. This issuance, structured in accordance with the principles of participation finance, represents a strategic milestone in diversifying our funding sources and strengthening our presence in the capital markets," said Demircan.
